What would be the outcome if a contract had to be signed before?
Most people in the U.S. are already upset that we have far too many lawyers, already far too involved in every aspect of our lives, and here you go suggesting we should carry legal forms, lawyers, witnesses, and a notary around as an entourage on the odd chance we might become romantically involved with someone. Somehow I can only see that clogging the court calendar farther. Yes, all those additional individuals would be required because we have all been endlessly reminded of the dangers and ramifications of signing any contract without having it legally reviewed and without making it legally binding on both parties involved. Whats next, creating neutral observers to be able to testify to any requirements not fulfilled or verbal changes requested to to the contract. Personally I dont want to live like that. Also you might want to remember you are dealing with human beings, some of whom have probably already proven in life that they are incapable of remembering something as important as a condom at such a time. This is real life youre talking about here not a fantasy in an alternate universe. Rape is still an act of violence perpetrated by a violent individual who gets off on the fear and violence of an already illegal act. Dont confuse rape with an arranged consensual BDSM relationship agreement that spells out requested actions and equipment.
