What is the chance I can contract HIV from contact with blood through?

I dont think you can generalize from percentages in a large group to one individual. there are too many variables. For example, using a condom makes a big difference, whether the infected partner is under treatment and how heavy the viral load is makes a big difference, frequency and intensity of of sexual contact makes a big difference, whether you are taking HIV prophylactic drugs makes a big difference. This is risky behavior under any circumstances, just how risky and what you can do to minimize risk depends on a lot more details. I strongly suggest discussing this with public health nurse who knows about HIV to help guide your decision, and discuss potential risk management practices.
